Branding is one of the most important aspects of any business, large or small, retail or B2B. An effective brand strategy gives you a major edge in increasingly competitive markets. But what exactly does "branding" mean? How does it affect a small business like yours?

 

What is Branding ?

Simply put, branding is the process of giving a meaning to specific organization, company, products or services by creating and shaping a brand in consumers’ minds. Difference between B2C Branding & B2B Branding: 

B2C Branding 

Is the brand/company promise to it's customer's of the level of quality and logistical satisfaction of goods and products ordered from their retail point. B2C brands deal with the customer hands on and typically consist of a wide matrix of designers that fit in with the overall theme or identity of the retail business. A B2C branding process consists of first, identifying who their target audience is, what their paint points are and how the products/services offered at their business supports and meets those needs. It also typically consists of a signature tone or method in which customers become accustomed to in the purchase process that enables loyalty and repeat purchases.  

B2B Branding 

Is the most common and typical form of branding that most consumers are accustomed to today. Nike, Uggs, Lululemon and other major corporate brands fall under the B2B Branding umbrella. How is this so? If the brand you love is offered in multiple retail locations, they are defined as B2B Brands. The branding process for these major brands involve a larger budget, macro-influencer collaborations, and a wider range of products/services offered to different levels of customer types.
